Wilmette
Wilmette
Inspired by lush greenery met by Lake Michigan’s shoreline, with notes of moss, freesia, and sandalwood.
Nestled along the lake about 14 miles north of the Loop, Wilmette is named after French-Canadian fur trader, Antoine Ouilmette, who arrived in the area from Chicago around 1826. As population grew with the expansion the railroads and later the Edens Expressway, this leafy lakeside community stood up to overdevelopment. The lush landscape of Wilmette is the perfect backdrop for the village’s many attractions, including the architectural wonder that is the Bahá’í House of Worship, the lakeside beauty of Gillson Park, and its renowned charm.
