Refund policy

Returns

Unopened candles, 30 days. If you have not opened it, send it back within 30 days of delivery in its original packaging and we will refund it. Return shipping is yours. Email info@vicinitycandles.com first so we can tell you where to send it.

Opened or burned candles cannot be returned. Once a candle has been opened we cannot sell it to anyone else, so that one is firm.

Custom and personalized orders cannot be returned. They carry your artwork on packaging made for you and they have no other use. Those orders are covered by our Terms of Sale, which gives you a full 24 hours after your proof arrives to change or cancel anything.

When something is wrong

Different situation, and there is no argument to have.

It arrived damaged, or it is defective. Cracked vessel, label lifting, wick problems, a box that arrived crushed. We remake or refund it and we cover shipping both ways.

Tell us within 14 days of delivery at info@vicinitycandles.com, with photographs. Photos are not us being difficult, they tell us whether the problem happened here or in transit, which is how we stop it happening to the next person.

Shipping problems

We ship to exactly the address you give us, so the accuracy of that address is yours.

A parcel comes back to us undeliverable. We still have the candle, so a reship costs you postage and packaging only, and we will tell you what that is before we send it.

Tracking says delivered but you do not have it. If the carrier confirms delivery to the address on your order, we cannot automatically replace or refund it. Tell us anyway and we will pull the delivery record, the timestamp and the location so you can take it up with the carrier or with your building.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
