Love, Chicago

Inspired by the fiery sweet candy famously made in Chicago, with notes of cinnamon, sugar, and spice.

Salvatore Ferrara came to Chicago from Italy at the turn of the twentieth century without possessions, but with a love of baking. He saved enough money as an interpreter to open a bakery in Little Italy. There, in 1932, the little cinnamon imperial candies connected to love were born. Red Hots were the first branded candy of what became the Ferrara Pan Candy Company, which is still headquartered in Chicago. The next time you have some cinnamon imperial candies, do so with some Chicago pride and love!
