Lake Forest

Inspired by the morning dew of bygone polo grounds, with notes of green leaves, moss, amber.

Nestled against Lake Michigan to the north of Chicago, Lake Forest was designed by Almerin Hotchkiss in 1857 in a style reminiscent of sprawling English gardens and American parks of the day. The picturesque cityscape soon became home to beautiful Gilded-Age estates; country clubs such as Onwentsia, which famously hosted “the World Series of Polo” in 1933; and the nation’s first planned shopping center, Market Square. A rich history and loyal residents give this North Shore gem its unique charm.
